ME

ME sounds surprisingly different from at the close of every day’s well-crafted post rock. ME distinctively draws from the Americana-tradition and was inspired by a documentary by Lucy Walker about Amish-teens experimenting with alcohol and cocain (“rumspringa” in their dialect) before choosing a sober existence within their community. ME doesn’t turn this into a distant concept album but translates the bigger themes into something more with sometimes painfully direct songs like “Rust Never Sleeps” and “Could I Bring You Back”.
